Passionate and dedicated individual wanted to increase the sustainability of a budding grassroots charity; EduCrate International- aiding international development in schools worldwide.
Are you someone that wants to be part of something new and can contribute to our growing community of trustees and volunteers, all of whom have made the founder’s dream of EduCrate becoming a charity real? Read on below to find out what skills and experience we at EduCrate are in need of and how you can apply.
About EduCrate: The EduCrate team all believe that access to an education that can enable you to thrive forward into a fulfilling life is a human right. It is a travesty that in 2016, children all around our planet are still unable to educate themselves out of poverty because of corruption and inequality.
EduCrate’s mission is to support students worldwide by providing sustainable links between schools in both stable and unstable economies, promoting global awareness and advocating educational equality.
This passion for equality is driven by the immeasurable educational waste that sits in UK and other developed nation’s schools. There are mountains of disused textbooks, cupboards of functional equipment and shelves of stationary all gathering dust, EduCrate is distributing it to be used again.
- Seek out ‘Away’ schools around the world who do not currently receive sustainable financial support and partner them to a ‘Home’ school who can supply educational resources, teaching & learning support and want to promote global citizenship.
- Create bespoke partnerships that are mutually beneficial and advocate educational equality.
- Ship surplus educational resources from the ‘Home’ schools to the ‘Away’ schools.
- Fundraise via local events through corporate partnerships and our volunteer programme ‘EduMates.’
